2016 CILIP Conference: 12 – 13 July 2016 | The Brighton Dome, Brighton

2016 Cilip conference with date 12-13th July in Brighton

Join us in Brighton at the CILIP Conference between 12-13 July for two days of debate, discussion, fun, knowledge sharing and inspiration. Come and talk to us on stand 45 where we will be talking about new trends in library design.

The Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) has put together their most exciting and ambitious programme yet, with the keynotes – Scott Bonner, Professor Sir Nigel Shadbolt and Becci Louise – looking at the important role libraries play in times of crisis, the social and economic value of data and information and the power of the written word to promote health and wellbeing. The breakout sessions reflect the diversity of the sector with presentations from organisations as diverse as the Royal Shakespeare Company, Morgan Stanley, the Tinder Foundation and Staffordshire County Council. Chris Riddell, children’s laureate, will be running an illustration presentation during one of the Fringe sessions and the “Your Career” strand will offer a series of presentations and workshops offering practical advice and tools to help with your professional development. This year’s drinks reception takes place on Brighton Pier and comes complete with traditional fish and chips and free rides on the attractions. For full details and to take advantage of the Early Bird discounts, visit their website.
