Overview
Sound Masking is an effective method of 'covering up' sound distractions and increasing speech privacy in libraries without compromising on open plan, modern and exciting layouts. A comfortable, low-level background noise is introduced to the space with a specific frequency designed to mask human speech. This reduces the intelligibility of distracting conversations, improving the concentration and productivity of students. With our sound masking solutions it is also possible to 'soundscape' an environment by playing background music or sounds on top of the sound masking to create themed acoustic environments to complement the physical space."
