Brief

The library in the University of Surrey occupies three floors of a new extension to the existing building. The shelving system had to complement the striking architecture and contemporary interior.

To make this project really work FG Library needed to provide a high quality functional shelving system that included motion sensor lighting. Of course it would also need to be functional for students and practical for staff.

Solution

Almost a thousand meters of double sided free standing white Uniflex shelving was installed. The motion sensor illumination helped to conserve energy and improve green credentials. Perforated steel end panels added to the modern styling whilst bespoke accessories ensured that the shelving meets the staff and stock needs exactly.

Uniflex shelving is ideal for the Higher Education sector and can work in traditional or contemporary spaces.
